100 مقاله برتر جهان از لحاظ تعداد ارجاعات

مجله معتبر نیچر لیست 100 مقاله رکورد دار از لحاظ تعداد ارجاع (citation) منتشر کرده است که تمامی این 100 مقاله هر کدام بیش از 10000 بار ارجاع داده شده اند. فقط سه مقاله بیش از 100 هزار ارجاع دریافت کرده اند و برخی از مهم ترین مقالات تاریخ مانند مقاله واتسون و کریک در مورد ساختار دی ان ای (A structure for deoxyribose nucleic acids) با 5207 ارجاع و مقاله پیدا شدن سوراخ در لایه اوزن که در سال 1985 چاپ شد با تنها 1871 ارجاع، جزو این رده بندی نیستند و در عوض مقالاتی که در مورد روش ها و نرم افزارها هستند اکثریت مقالات این فهرست را شامل می شوند.
